If you like dates, chocolate and coconut, we suggest that you make these delicious chocolate coconut date bars. You can keep them for two weeks in the room temperature. This recipe doesn’t need many ingredients and it’s easy to make. These date bars are made with Piarom dates which are so tasty. They are a very good choice to eat along with your tea or coffee. Even they taste great along with a glass of hot milk.
Chocolate coconut date bars
This mixture gets pretty sticky in the food processor. Don’t be alarmed if you have to scrape and pulse to keep the machine moving.

 Nonstick vegetable oil spray
 2 cups pitted Piarom dates
 ¾ cup raw cacao powder
 1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut, divided
 ¼ cup cacao nibs
 2 tbsp agave syrup
 1 tsp kosher salt

Coat 8×8 ̎ baking pan with vegetable oil spray; line with parchment, leaving overhang on all sides. Process Piarom dates, cacao powder, 3/4 cup coconut, cacao nibs, agave syrup, salt and 2 tablespoons water in a food processor until smooth (you may need to stop and scrape down sides a few times.) Press mixture firmly into prepared pan.

Scatter remaining 1/4 cup coconut over top; press to adhere. Cut into bars.

Recipe note:
Bars can be made two weeks ahead. Store airtight at room temperature.
